Overview of Available Settings

Within the Settings tab, you can configure various aspects of your Double the Donation Matching account to meet your organization's needs. Below is a quick list of what you can access:

Each of these sections allows you to manage different facets of your matching gift program. Let’s dive into each one in more detail. 

API Keys

In the API Keys section, you can access your unique Public and Private API keys. These keys are essential for linking your software platform to Double the Donation Matching, allowing donor information to flow smoothly into the system.

Plugin Settings

We recommend creating a dedicated matching gift and volunteer grant page on your website that uses our searchable database. This becomes a call-to-action page, where donors can access forms, guidelines, and instructions needed to submit matching gift requests.

Exclusion Rules

The Exclusion Rules section allows you to build exclusions to manage which donation records enter Double the Donation Matching and which receive automated emails.

Company Exclusions

In the Company Exclusions tab, you can exclude specific companies from your organization’s matching gift search tool. This is useful when companies have policies that make them ineligible for your organization based on type.

Manage Programs

The Manage Programs tab lets you manage matching gift programs that are specific to your organization. Here, you can update the information on different matching gift programs to ensure they align with your nonprofit’s needs.

Organization Profile

Within the Organization Profile section, you can provide your nonprofit’s details to ensure Double the Donation has the correct information for your organization.

Blocklist Management

The Blocklist Management tab lets you manually block donors from receiving automated emails or phone calls. Use this feature to manage donor outreach preferences and prevent unwanted communication.

Advanced Settings

In the Advanced Settings, you can configure various options to refine how donations are tracked and processed. This includes:

  • Automatically updating a donor's previous donations with their employer’s information once the donor identifies it in a new donation.

  • Adjusting your time zone settings for better synchronization with donor data and reporting.
