How it Works

Double the Donation Matching Exclusion Rules

When integrating both a donation form and a CRM with Double the Donation Matching, the same donation can sometimes be recorded more than once.

This commonly happens when:

One platform includes processing or platform fees
Another platform records only the net donation amount
Offline and online gifts flow from different systems

Without exclusions, these records could appear as duplicates in the matching module.

Default Duplicate Donation Exclusion Rule

Double the Donation Matching includes a default exclusion rule designed to prevent duplicate records from flowing into the platform.

What the Default Rule Does

Excludes donation records with:
- The same email address
- The same donation amount
- Within a specified number of days

This rule should be enabled whenever you use multiple integrations.

A: At this time, matching gift information can flow back into RE NXT. Double the Donation Matching will send Company Match information back to RE NXT in two places: The Organization constituent record (Company record) and the Gift Record.

Organization constituent record (Company record): The DTD plugin appears within an add-in tile in your organization constituent records. The Double the Donation search tool pulls the user-inputted freeform text from the “Org Name” field. The plugin presents standardized company name choices from the DTD database. You must select the right company name to view the matching gift policy details.
