Step-by-Step: Integrate Double the Donation Matching into Haku

For Charity Partners:

Step 1 — Open Settings

1. Log in to Haku.

2. From the left menu under the Dashboard, click Settings.

   

3. Select the Integrations tab (top menu).

   

 

Step 2 — Connect Double the Donation

1. Scroll to Integration Settings.

   

2. Toggle Connect Double the Donation → ✓ ON.

3. Enter your Public API Key and Private API Key (from Double the Donation → Settings → API Keys).

4. Click Connect & Save.

 

Step 3 — Show the Employer Search on the Form

Ensure Populate Corporate Match Search on Donation Form is toggled → ON.

 

Step 4 — Repeat for Other Donation Forms

Apply the same settings to each donation form where you want matching gifts enabled.

 

Result:

• Employer search appears on selected donation forms

• Donation records will sync to Double the Donation Matching

 

For nonprofit organizations:

To connect Double the Donation to your fundraising campaigns/efforts:

Step 1 — Open Giving → Efforts

1. Click the heart icon (Giving).

2. Go to Efforts, select your campaign, then click Settings.

 

Step 2 — Connect and Enable

1. Toggle Connect Double the Donation → YES.

   

2. Enter Public and Private API Keys.

3. Click Connect & Save.

4. Ensure Populate Corporate Match Search on Donation Form is ON.

   
   

 

Step 3 — Repeat as Needed

Enable the integration for all desired campaigns/efforts.

 

Congratulations! The Double the Donation matching tools will now appear on your selected forms.

To connect Double the Donation to your endurance events:

Step 1 — Open Events

1. Click the calendar icon (Events).

   

2. Open your event.

3. Go to Event Info, then select the Fundraising tab.

   

 

Step 2 — Connect and Enable

1. Toggle Connect Double the Donation → YES.

   

2. Enter Public and Private API Keys.

3. Click Connect & Save.

4. Ensure Populate Corporate Match Search on Donation Form is ON.

   

 

Congratulations! The Double the Donation matching tools will now appear on your selected forms.

Q: I don't have a Double the Donation account. How do I get one? 

A: Visit the Double the Donation demo request page to schedule a demo. Mention that you use Haku in your demo request form. 

 

Q: Can I add and remove Double the Donation Matching to individual donation forms? 

A: Yes. Open the specific donation form (called an Effort in Haku) and toggle the integration on or off.

 

Q: Where else can I embed Double the Donation's plugin?

A: We recommend creating a dedicated matching gift page on your website. This page will help all website visitors, not just those on your donation form, understand matching gift programs and easily find their company’s matching gift guidelines and forms.
