If your nonprofit has a subscription to Double the Donation and you're unable to access your account, follow these steps to regain access.

Key Considerations:

  • Your organization's account contains sensitive donor data. For security, only Administrators are responsible for adding or removing authorized users.

  • Double the Donation does not typically add users to accounts for security reasons. Therefore, your team needs to follow the appropriate steps to regain access.

1. Contact the Former Administrator (If Possible)

  • Best Option: The simplest method is to ask the former administrator to provide the account credentials or to add you as a new user on the account.

2. Reset the Password

  • If You Have Access to the Former Email Address:

    • Go to the Double the Donation login page and click on "Forgot Password?"

    • Enter the email address associated with the account and follow the instructions to reset the password

3. If the Former Admin is Unavailable or You Can't Access the Email Address

If the previous administrator is no longer with your organization and you cannot access the associated email address, try the following options:

Option A: Contact Your Email Administrator

  • Reach Out to Your Email Admin: Ask your email administrator to either grant you access to the former email address or forward the password reset email to you.

Option B: Set Up a Catch-All Email Account

  • Set Up a Catch-All Email: A catch-all email account collects all emails sent to any address under your domain, including misspelled addresses. Your email administrator can assist with setting this up.

    • Once the catch-all account is set up, use it to reset the password and gain access to your account.

    • After logging in, update the email address on your Double the Donation account to your current email address.

Option C: Ask Colleagues About Admin Access

  • Check with Colleagues: Ask your colleagues if they were added as Administrators on the account. If one of them has admin access, they can log in and add you as a user following these instructions..

4. Set a New Password

  • Set a New Password: Once you regain access, make sure to set a new password. If you don’t receive the reset email in your inbox, check your spam or junk folder. The reset link expires in 24 hours.

5. Update Account Users

  • Add Multiple Admins: To prevent future access issues, we recommend adding at least three email addresses to the account:

    • A general inbox email address

    • A matching gifts or donations email address

    • The primary contact person’s email address
