Step-by-Step: Integrate Double the Donation Matching into Salsa Engage

Step 1 — Open Settings

Log in to Salsa Engage and navigate to the Settings tab.

 

Step 2 — Switch to Double the Donation

  1. Click the “Switch to…” dropdown in the upper-right corner.

  2. Select Double the Donation.

 

Step 3 — Enter Your API Keys

Enter your Public API Key and Private API Key from Double the Donation Matching → Settings → API Keys.

  • Ensure keys are entered in the correct fields

  • Keys must match exactly

 

Step 4 — Select or Create a Donation Form

Either:

  • Create a new Salsa Engage donation form, or

  • Select an existing form to edit

 

Step 5 — Edit the Form Content

Click Edit Content on the selected donation form.

 

Step 6 — Add the Matching Gift Search Field

  1. Choose the form step where the field should appear.

  2. Drag and drop Double the Donation Lookup onto the form.

Recommended placement: Directly beneath the Email Address field in Form Step 2.

 

Step 7 — Preview the Donation Form

Confirm the matching gift search field appears correctly.

 

Step 8 — Add the Matching Gift Widget to the Confirmation Page

  1. Open the Confirmation page editor.

  2. Insert the Double the Donation Matching Widget element.

  3. Save your changes.

 

Step 9 — Review the Confirmation Page

Ensure donors see the matching gift widget after completing a donation.

 

Integration Complete

Once configured:

  • All donations made through Salsa Engage flow into Double the Donation Matching

  • Employer information is captured during or after donation.
