Step-by-Step: Integrate Double the Donation Matching
into DonorDrive
The Double the Donation and DonorDrive integration works with DonorDrive Standard forms and DonorDrive Embedded forms. The activation process is the same for both form types.
Step #1: Your Double the Donation client success representative will contact the DonorDrive team on your behalf during your onboarding experience to enable the integration within your DonorDrive instance. You may also request this activation after onboarding directly from the Double the Donation support team by contacting support@doublethedonation.com.
Step #2: Navigate to the "Integrations" tab and select "Browse". Use the Browse Partner Directory to search for "DonorDrive". Select "Activate Integration".
Step #3: Enter the following information from your DonorDrive account into the corresponding fields:

DonorDrive Email Address

DonorDrive Password

DonorDrive Instance

Step #4: Click "Validate Credentials." Look for the response message from Double the Donation Matching.

If the message says "Success," move on to the next step.

If the message says "Invalid," ensure that you have entered the exact credentials from your DonorDrive profile.
Step #5: Once you have successfully validated your credentials, click the "Integrate" button.
Step #6: To ensure donation records flow from DonorDrive to Double the Donation Matching, the Double the Donation user group needs to have full access to your specific campaigns and events. You can either:
Update the Double the Donation's User Group in DonorDrive:

Login to the DonorDrive admin

Select the Control Panel

Under General Settings, select User Management

Under the Users tab, search for Double the Donation API User

Select the user > Edit

Select the checkbox for the group Administrators

Save Changes
Or, give the Double the Donation User Group access to specific events and campaigns:

Login to the DonorDrive admin

Select Events & Campaigns

Select an event > Permissions

Select the Access checkbox for Double the Donation

Save Changes

Repeat for all necessary events and campaigns

A: You can find the instance name in the URL when you log into the DonorDrive portal. For example, your URL may appear as follows:
Q: Can I add a matching gift page on one of my DonorDrive content pages in addition to my own website?
A: Yes! It is recommended that you create a matching gift page on your own website, but you can also add the matching gift plugin to your DonorDrive pages. Simply edit the content of the desired DonorDrive page, then copy your Embed Code into the editor.
