Integrating Double the Donation with Koolay

Step 1 – Open the Matching Gift tab in Koolay

  1. Log in to your Koolay admin console and navigate to Settings → Site Settings from the sidebar.
  2. Click the Matching Gift tab in the top row.




Step 2 – Enter your API Keys

  1. Paste your Public API Key and Private API Key from Double the Donation Matching → Account Profile Dropdown → API Keys.

    2.   Click Verify Keys.
    1. A green checkmark means the keys are valid.


Step 3 – Enable the Integration

  1. Click Connect to save the configuration. The status badge should automatically flip to ON.

     2.   You should see a confirmation message that says The matching gift plugin is active on your donation confirmation page.

Ensure that the toggle labeled Send donation records to DTD? is switched to YES.

Q: I don't have a Double the Donation Matching account. How do I get one?

A: Visit https://doublethedonation.com/demo-request/ to request a demo. Make sure you mention that you use Koolay in your demo request form!

 

Q: Where else can I embed Double the Donation's plugin?

A: We recommend you create a dedicated matching gift page on your website to place matching gift information in the path of every website visitor, not just those already on your donation form. On this page, you can explain what matching gift programs are and provide donors with a chance to look up their employer’s program forms, guidelines, and instructions. Your dedicated matching gift page will become a useful resource to include in emails, newsletters, and direct messages.
