Step-by-Step: Integrate Double the Donation Matching into Giveffect

Double the Donation helps nonprofits and schools grow revenue across workplace giving programs, including matching gifts, volunteer incentives, payroll giving, and corporate sponsorship opportunities. Our workplace giving automation platform identifies eligible opportunities and drives more submissions to completion.

Step 1 — Log Into Giveffect and Open Charity Settings

Log in to your Giveffect account.

Navigate to Charity Settings.

Click the Integrations tab.
Step 2 — Open the Double the Donation Integration and Enter API Keys

Select the Double the Donation tab.

Enter your Public API Key and Private API Key from Double the Donation Matching.

Click Enable Double the Donation.

(Recommended) Check Enable on General Donation Pages to activate matching gift tools across all standard donation forms.
Step 3 — Enable Matching Gifts on Campaign-Specific Forms
For individual campaigns:

Open the campaign’s donation form builder.

Select the checkbox labeled Enable Double the Donation.
Special Note for Customers Using a Custom Thank-You Page
If your organization uses a custom Thank-You Page URL, you must: Add the Double the Donation Thank You Code found on the Giveffect integrations page.
This ensures donation records flow correctly into Double the Donation Matching.

Q: Why are my donation records not flowing into Double the Donation Matching?
A: Most common reason: Your organization uses a custom Thank-You Page URL
If so, you must add the Double the Donation Thank You Code from the integrations page.
If issues persist, contact your Double the Donation Client Success Specialist
Q: I don’t have a Double the Donation Matching account. How do I get one?
A: Visit the Double the Donation demo request page to schedule a demo. Mention that you use Giveffect in your demo request form.
Q: Where can I embed Double the Donation's matching gift search plugin?
A: We recommend creating a dedicated matching gift page on your website. This page will help all website visitors, not just those on your donation form, understand matching gift programs and easily find their company’s matching gift guidelines and forms.
To embed the matching gift search tool, locate your embed code from your matching module. Full instructions are available here.
