      Breakdown by Status

      This report helps you understand where donors are in the matching gift process and how much matching gift revenue is associated with each stage.

      FAQs

       

      Within the Statistics Section, you’ll see two key tables:

      • Employer Identification Status Table → shows which donors’ employers have been discovered

      • Matching Gift Process Stage Table → shows where donors are in the match process and the potential/confirmed revenue

       

      If you need to gain more insight into the meaning of each donor status, view this article. 

       

      Note: Results depend on the date range you’ve selected. The default view is always one year.

      Matching Gift Process Stage Table

      Use this table to track both potential and completed matching gift revenue.

       

      Potential Matching Gift Revenue

      • Waiting for Donor – Donor is eligible and has been placed in the email stream until they act.

       

      In-Progress / Completed Matching Gift Revenue

      • Match Initiated – Awaiting Verification – Donor accessed their company’s match form but has not yet confirmed submission.

      • Match Initiated – Donor Verified – Donor confirmed they submitted their match request (via the email confirmation link).

      • Pending Payment – Manual status updated by your organization once you know the match has been initiated and is awaiting funds.*

      • Match Complete – Manual status updated by your organization when the company has disbursed funds.*

       

      *Toggle Show manual statuses to display Pending Payment and Match Complete if your organization uses them.

       

       

      Update: “Match Initiated” is now split into Awaiting Verification and Donor Verified in reporting. Some accounts may only show one of these categories depending on donor activity.

      Employer Identification Status Table

      This table shows Double the Donation’s progress in identifying donors’ employers. This is the first step in finding top workplace giving opportunities, such as:

      • Matching gift programs

      • Volunteer incentive programs

      • Engaged companies that may launch giving initiatives in the future

      FAQs

      Q: Why do I see only one Match Initiated status in my account?
      A: Reporting may show either Awaiting Verification or Donor Verified, depending on where donors are in the process.

       

      Q: Should I follow up with donors in Awaiting Verification?
      A: Yes. These donors started the process but haven’t confirmed submission. Personalized follow-up can increase conversion.
