Step-by-Step: Integrate Double the Donation Volunteering into VolunteerMatters

Step 1 — Log In with the Correct Access Role

  • Log into your VolunteerMatters account with the Configuration security access role.

Step 2 — Navigate to the Integration Settings

  • Go to: Configuration → Integrations → Double the Donation This expands the Double the Donation integration panel.

Step 3 — Open the Double the Donation Integration Panel

  • Click Edit within the Double the Donation settings box.

Step 4 — Enable the Integration & Add API Keys

  1. Toggle Enabled to true.

  2. Enter your Public Key and Private Key from Double the Donation Volunteering.

  3. Click Verify and Save.

Once saved, you’ll see the Integration enabled confirmation at the top of the screen.

 

Step 5 — Add the “Organization” Field to Your Volunteer Form

  • VolunteerMatters uses the Organization field to activate the Double the Donation Volunteering search tool.

If you already use the Organization field:

  • You're all set — the integration will automatically activate on all volunteer forms.

If you do NOT use the Organization field:

  • Add it via the drag-and-drop form builder, using Customize Views to ensure the field appears on the necessary pages.

That's all there is to it! Your volunteer forms will now be integrated with Double the Donation Volunteering!

Important: Adding this field globally enables the Double the Donation Volunteering search tool on all volunteer forms.
