Understanding User Roles

This article defines the permissions of each of the user roles available in Double the Donation: No Access (Standard Plan only), View Only, Edit, and Administrator.

When you set up your Double the Donation account, you can add multiple users with different roles to help manage matching gift functionality.To ensure team members in marketing, fundraising, and technical roles have appropriate access, you can assign roles on a per-module basis.

Available Roles:

  1. Administrator: Full access to functionality, settings, and billing.
  2. Edit: Can modify settings and data but cannot manage users.
  3. View Only: Can only view data, dashboards, and reports.
  4. No Access (Standard Plan only): Completely restricts a user from a specific module. The module will not appear in their navigation bar.

Note on Admin Access: 

  • Billing: Accessible if the user has an Administrator role in at least one module. 
  • User Management: Accessible if the user has an Administrator role in at least one module AND does not have "No Access" assigned to any other module.
