Step #3: Now that the integration is set up, you'll need to activate it. Navigate to "Campaigns" and select the fundraising campaign where you'd like to incorporate matching gifts.

 

 

Step #4: Under "Configure Campaign," click "Settings." Navigate to "Donation Options" and make sure to check the box that says "Prompt employer for match."

 

 

Now your Double the Donation Matching integration is ready! Double the Donation's matching gift search tool and will appear between the donor's identifying information and their billing information. The confirmation page plugin will also appear on your thank you page to guide donors to take their matching gift next steps!

Q: I don't have a Double the Donation account. How do I get one?

A:  Visit https://doublethedonation.com/demo-request/ to request a demo! Make sure you mention that you use OneCause in your demo request form.

Q: I'm an existing Double the Donation Matching client. Where do I find my credentials?

A: Login to your Double the Donation Matching portal at  https://doublethedonation.com/members/login/. Navigate to "Settings" and then "API Keys." You will enter your public and private API keys into OneCause, as illustrated in Step #2.

Q: Where can I embed the Double the Donation's plugin?

A: We recommend you create a dedicated matching gift page on your website to place matching gift information in the path of every website visitor, not just those already on your donation form. On this page, you can explain matching gift programs and give donors a chance to look up their employer’s program forms, guidelines, and instructions. Your dedicated matching gift page will become a useful resource to include in emails, newsletters, and direct messages.
