Double the Donation’s Sponsorships Directory on CharityAuctions - FAQs

Double the Donation’s industry-leading sponsorship directory seamlessly integrates with CharityAuctions, making it easy to identify and secure in-kind donations and corporate grant opportunities right within your Admin Dashboard.

Understanding Corporate Sponsorships

A corporate sponsorship is a form of support nonprofits receive from corporations to fund events, nonprofit programming, or specific projects. The benefits are twofold: nonprofits receive the help they need to continue serving their missions, while the company receives tax deductions and a positive reputation for its brand.

What is Double the Donation’s Sponsorships Directory?

The Sponsorships Directory helps nonprofits and educational institutions find corporate grants and in-kind donation opportunities. It allows users to browse through a list of companies offering these programs, with essential details on eligibility, offerings, and the application process, with direct, actionable next steps.

Tips for Success

Writing a clear, thoughtful proposal can make a big difference in fulfilling corporate sponsorship requests. Here are some tips to help strengthen your application:

  • Align with the company’s mission: Look into what causes or types of organizations they support to make sure they are a good fit. Ensure that the application reflects commonalities or overlap between the company and your organization.
  • Be specific and concise: Clearly outline the request and how it will support your work.
  • Show relevance and impact: Share how their support would make a difference in relation to your actual event.
  • Include recognition or engagement opportunities: Let them know how else they can get involved–such as an employee engagement or brand visibility at your event.
  • Think long-term: Many companies may also offer other workplace giving programs like employee matching or volunteer incentive programs. Make sure you’re familiar with these options and are actively informing your supporters of the opportunities.

Maximize Workplace Giving Opportunities

Looking to further maximize workplace giving opportunities at your organization? Taking an active role in promoting these programs is a great place to start.

Double the Donation has tools designed to help nonprofits make the most of these opportunities in workplace giving. Aside from providing sponsorship through grants or in-kind donations, companies can choose to:

  • Match gifts: Corporate matching gift programs are a form of workplace giving in which companies financially match donations their employees make to nonprofits.

  • Offer volunteer incentives: Nonprofits can receive a donation from the employer of their volunteers based on the number of hours the employee volunteered. Aside from this, some companies provide paid time off for employees to volunteer with nonprofits.

Here’s how you can grow support and funding with Corporate Volunteerism.

  • Offer payroll deductions: Payroll deductions are one of the most common types of workplace giving. Rather than employees going out of their way to make donations, payroll deductions automatically deduct a portion of their paychecks to donate to a charity of their choice.
