Step-by-Step: Integrate Double the Donation Volunteering into Timecounts
Step #1: Log in to your Timecounts account. Navigate to "Settings" and click on the "Integrations" tab. Scroll to Double the Donation and click "Connect" to begin the setup.
Step #2: Enter your Public and Private Keys from your Double the Donation account in the popup.

Once you've entered your Public and Private Keys and clicked "Save," the "Connect" button will appear greyed out. A "Remove" button will appear; only click the "Remove" button if you wish to disconnect the integration. The integration is now active!
Step #3: Now that your integration is activated, the next step is adding the Double the Donation search field as a custom database field in Timecounts. Go to "Settings > Database Fields." Click "Create Custom Field" in the top right corner.
Scroll down and select the special field for "Double the Donation."
The field label is fixed, but you can customize the title text volunteers will see on your form. We recommend the default message of "See if your employer offers volunteer incentives!" Click "Save."
You will now see the field in your database options in Timecounts. The Double the Donation field functions as a database field in Timecounts, and you can drag it up or down as needed to reorder as you want it to appear in Timecounts profile cards.
Step #4: Next, you'll need to add this field to your desired Timecounts form.
The Double the Donation Volunteering database field can be added to a variety of volunteer forms within Timecounts, including the forms you use for volunteer Events and Onboarding. You can choose to create a new form or add the field to an existing form.
Click on "Form Builder" and open a current form or create a new form.
Simply drag and drop the Double the Donation database field into your desired form. We recommend making this an optional field.
Press "Publish" or "Publish Changes."
Step #5: Connect the integrated volunteer form to your volunteer signup flow.
The final step is ensuring that your Double the Donation integrated form is properly connected to your desired volunteer form within Timecounts.
Onboarding for New Volunteers
Go to the "Hub Editor" in Timecounts and click on "Details" at the top. In the New Volunteer Onboarding section, ensure that the integrated form with the Double the Donation field is selected from the dropdown, then press "Save" at the bottom of the page.
Event Signup
Go to "Events" in Timecounts and open the event. From the "Details" tab at the top, navigate to "Signup Form," select the integrated form with the Double the Donation field, and press "Save" at the bottom of the page.
That's all there is to it! Your Timecounts volunteer forms will now be integrated with Double the Donation Volunteering!
Important Note: Volunteer registrations flow from Timecounts to Double the Donation Volunteering when a volunteer submits an Onboarding or Event form.
Please note that a volunteer registration originating from an Onboarding form will be tagged in your Double the Donation Volunteering account with the label "Onboarding" under the "Campaign" column.

A: We recommend that you incorporate Double the Donation’s search tool across your broader volunteering information. To install the search tool anywhere on your website, simply copy and paste the Embed Code from your Double the Donation Volunteering portal.
We recommend that you create a dedicated volunteer incentive page where you can explain what volunteer grants and volunteer time off programs are and provide volunteers with a chance to look up their employer’s program forms, guidelines, and instructions. This page can be used as a resource to be included in emails, newsletters, and direct messages.
