Step-by-Step: Integrate Double the Donation Matching into Donate2 Donation Forms

Step 1 — Open Double the Donation Settings in Donate2

From the left-hand navigation menu in Donate2, select Double the Donation.

 

Step 2 — Enter Your API Keys

  1. In Double the Donation → Settings → API Keys, locate your Public Key and Private Key.

  2. Paste both keys into the Donate2 integration fields.

  3. Click Save Credentials.

  4. Use Test Credentials to confirm they are valid.

 

Step 3 — Enable the Integration on a Donation Form

To activate Double the Donation on any Donate2 form:

  1. Open a Donate2 donation form.

  2. Locate the collapsible section labeled Double the Donation.

  3. Select Yes to display the matching gift search tool on that form.

 

Step 4 — Confirm the Integration Is Active

Once enabled:

  • The matching gift search tool appears directly on the donation form

  • Matching gift elements appear automatically on thank-you pages

  • Donation + employer data flows into your Double the Donation Matching account
